Are you able to explain a bit more on the Attach Delete sub function? I'm using a userform to add and delete records. Should I need to add a record, two spreadsheets, namely sheet 2 & sheet 4 will be updated same goes for deletion. Using the copy range method it works well for adding of records but how do i make the delete works for sheet 4 once the sheet 2 record has been deleted? vba code for buttondelete_click() Sheet2.cells(currentrow,1).entirerows.clearcontents

Hi Eric, I saw your question in the other facebook group as well, You can also post in our facebook group here bit.ly/groupexcel. You would use a common # or unique key that has both records in common. I will give you an example. Lets say you want to delete an Invoice. The List of Invoices are in one table, and the Invoice Items, are stored in another table. The key is that both tables contain a Unique Invoice #. Once you have this #, you can then Delete the Invoices from the First Table and THEN locate all rows with that same Invoice # in the 2nd table, and delete those rows as well. So to answer your question, when adding to your tables use a UNIQUE # that will represent those records, so that they can easily be deleted as well.

For instance, in between the E-mail column and Notes column I would like to put another subject column for Phone numbers. Also is it possible to create a cully customized CRM software from Excell? I have a master excel file with employees of different company branches. I want a way to select each branch employees from that master file and save them with their data in separated excel files and the name of the file is branch name that is stored in one of the columns. Hi there, I'm trying to create a little database where I can attach documents for our sharepoint site and it looks like I may be able to use excel. Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work in a sharepoint environment? This is so awesome BTW, I had no idea excel had all of these capabilities!

Hi thanks very much. Sharepoint should be able to handle your data, depending upon your settings, but you can use them just to hold the text data of the file path. I hope this helps. Sorry I am not understanding... does the data actually goes into the Excel sheet itself, or only the file location is saved, as I understand it? If this was uploaded to SharePoint and used by multiple users, could this work? Or we could only relegate it to a local desktop only? Thanks for your help.

Hi and thanks this could work for any user, anywhere in the world. If the attachments are stored in a shared folder such as Sharepoint, dropbox, One Drive or Google Drive, then users would simple have to map their drives individually and then the full file path would be accurate. Another solution is to make them via public an shareable links so that if the attachment is not located in their local drive it would download automatically from the URL. Hi Hélène, I am not sure what video was before that however, last weeks video "Sharing Workbooks' shows exactly how to do an increment # for records. I covered a lot of ground in that video, on how to create new records, each with a unique ID, so I think you will learn a lot from that. Hello , I would like to kindly ask , how can I define the path for folder/file on sharepoint, if I tried to add it shows me the location and when I clicked on specific picture/ document always pop up an BUG , it show me always error on Filepath in code "FileName = Dir(FilePath)" Coudl you support me , that I will add data from my computer , on sharepoint will be created specific folder and new picture will be copied there and path of new location on sharepoint will be used as review of attachment ? is that possible?
