Wow! I absolutely LOVED this video. You are like a magician - taking random branches and twigs and making a SPECTACULAR winter pot!!!! Thank you for making this video nice and early. If only I lived near you - what a great idea to have these parties -- brilliant. I live in a zone 4b - we have already had one snowfall (has melted since). My question is "how long does this last and does it need to be watered"? I would love to make it in November - but I'm not sure if it would last til Christmas? THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge with us. 🇨🇦

We start the parties the end of November and they should last until spring here in Michigan.

I think I'm going to try this. Thanks for the demo. I haven't removed my Prince Tuts from their pots yet, so this gives me incentive to get movin' on it! I'll have my 5 y.o. grandson participate -- he will love foraging and making this fun, beautiful project

Really nice arrangement! It is getting me excited for the holidays. I soak my branches in water until I am ready to make the arrangements and it extends the life of the arrangement. I don't have a red twig dogwood so I just gather interesting twigs from my yard and my mom's and will spray paint them red, silver or white and use them. I wish I was close to Zeeland to join you in one of your workshops! It would be a really fun Christmas activity. ♥️😊♥️

That's a great idea to spray whatever twigs you have. The holidays are coming soon.

Such a fun planter! How long will this planter last with the stems in the soil? Thanks for sharing 🙂
@gardencrossings

Right now it is too warm so it probably wont last more than 3 weeks or so. When we start hosting the parties it will be cooler so they should last all winter.
