Specifically, the steps are the same as for AzerothCore, but for TrinityCore you have to download the database. 😉 Awesome video! 🙂👍

Odd question, with the account and such. Can you use ingame commands? As an example, I have a old (VERY old) private server for 3.0.3, works wonky but works, and that one can use in GM (Game Master) commands, such as teleportation, cheats, modding levels, adding items and such. The account you create is but a very basic vanilla account, as if you're signing up for Blizzard?

Yes, you can set up a gm account to teleport and what not. The projects wiki I believe mentions how to set it up

@@Digital-Scriptorium Yes I had done it. I made it work now, but not sure what I did. I kept changing port rules, messing with my firewall and the ip settings on the database. Something managed to make it work.

Hiho, i cannot say how glad i am to clicked on your video Digital :) thats my wish for such a long long time to have a lichking server! :) i just have one little question, im from germany and i did not find a german client for 3.5.5, just the german 3.5.5a version :( do you know if i have to change something for it to work ? the dl takes about 17 more hrs before i can test it, im just asking if you have any experience in the 3.5.5a version :) and thank you so so mutch for your video and your hard work digital :) Edit: the dl was waaaay quicker and it works just perfectly thank you so so mutch !!! :) just one litte question i have, im new to private servers ^^ i know i ask for to mutch, but is there a little cheat thingy ? i have no chance against the elite enemys ^^

No problem! You have a few options. One is to up your account to a GM to have more options. Another is to look at add on modules. The best place to look for those would be the projects website and discord channel.

Hello very good video you explain super well, but I had a question and maybe it's my mistake, what happens is that the coins gold, silver or copper do not appear the icon I get 0c

Hmmm, it sounds like a client side glitch. Try deleting the cache folders in the client and see if that helps.

Hi, I'm planning on setting up a TWW server (I've seen there's a 11.2 release on Github) and was wondering if the setup is fundamentally the same as the 3.3.5 WotLK setup. Also, I'd like play together with a friend over LAN and was wondering how to do that. I'm new to this kinda thing and am, to be honest, quite overwhelmed.

Well it's all part of the learning process to be overwhelmed! :) Generally speaking TrinityCore projects are very close to each other on the backend. I would say this guide should help with it for sure. As far as playing on a local LAN that should be pretty easy too with this guide. I haven't tried their TWW build though so I can't be 100% certain.

​@@Digital-Scriptorium So, I actually managed to set up the private server for myself. Thank you for the tutorial, it was really easy to follow along. There were a few hiccups along the way because stuff is a little bit different here and there for TWW servers, but all in all it went quite well. However, I'm having trouble with having my friend play on the server. I set the address in the SQL realmlist table to my PC's IP address and used that IP address for the config.wtf and realmlist.wtf files. To be honest, we're not quite sure how he would even connect to the server, but we put my IP address in his .wtf files as well; we're in the same home network. He then downloaded the same launcher that I use (I had to use the Arctium launcher because it just wouldn't work with the regular launcher), however he just isn't able connect to the server. We already tried everything we can think of, so I was wondering if perhaps you would know how he could connect my server?

@@Digital-Scriptorium im downloading the MSI installer just like you in the Video Edit: So now finally after hours of trying i managed to get the mysql with lib folder and everything but now my Worldserver.exe and the authserver startet once, i did everything you did in the video it closed and now they wont open again, or more like open for a split second and close directly again

For TrinityCore it's a mixed bag. If you want a WotLK server with bots I feel AzerothCore's add on modules system would be better. I have a guide on setting the base AC server up.

It should generate a log file you can review. Or manually launch it in command prompt and it won't close. Then you should be able to see why it's angry.
