This was a surprising and informative podcast. The fast-beat background music was a bit distracting, though. 😊

Perdito Street Station - best city-based fantasy novel I've ever read.

I'm not a fan of grimdark fantasy, but I absolutely enjoyed the Shattered Sea books by Mr Abercrombie mainly since that stayed away from the general misogynist or sadist vibes that have become a regular trope with the genre. My hope is that someday we'll get an adaptation for the Shattered Sea books, they're perfect fodder for a more mature take on the young-adult genre.

Two constructive points of criticism: you should let the guest speak the most, and share the hosting with the co-host. Michael seems to be doing a lot in this video featuring two other people. Maybe craft some more questions and really be an interviewer, this presents as more of a lopsided round table. Also, please get rid of the background music, it is just audible enough to be distracting and annoying.

This was great! I read some of Mr. Abercrombies books (I'll continue once I recover from what they've done to me) and he seems like a really cool person.

"The characters do what I tell them. I'm in charge." ...I *wish* I could relate to that statement. Sometimes my characters do things I'm not expecting them to and whoops suddenly there's a zombie apocalypse subplot in my goofy weekly pun based comedy when I was thinking I was writing a filler episode.
