This is such a easy and great pattern. Already made everyone christmas. i didn't have any cotton yarn, but have tons of cotton thread so i work 3 strands of this together and came out great.

Yes, it's fantastic. But for beginners, acrylic yarn is sometimes easier. The acrylic moves easier through your hook and doesn't split quite as easily. It's personal preference, really :)

Idk why but mine is kinda turning into a bubble. It’s not staying flat and I’m only on round 2. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

Make sure you're counting your stitches correctly. You should increase stitches with each round, that is what keeps your circle flat.
