I just finished making one, and it is so pretty! I made it as a gift, so it is one size down from my size, but I think it is true to size for the oversized fit. I tried it on, and it fits but is not oversized, so it will be a perfect oversized fit for the person I made it for! I steam blocked the finish product, and it helped immensely with the drape and lengthened it just right. This yarn feels very nice on the skin and this stitch makes for a warm cardigan! Thank you for sharing this pattern! The video helped while following along with the pattern on the website.

Hello Rachel, thank you so much for making it so easy in your tutorials. I can only learn through a video. I love your sedge stitch & this Kiah cardigan. I’m going to try to make this & it’s gonna be my first sweater in crochet. I’m a beginner & wish me luck. Thank you for your patience & sharing us your great design. But most of all, you have a good heart by sharing & teaching us. God bless you & keep your good heart keep going to teach us. More blessings will come to you w/ your kindness.🤗💕🙏I’m from Canada and therefore yarn are very expensive here & even buying from the US is more expensive due to exchange rates & shipping.

Hello! Thank you so much for the kind message, It totally made my day! :) I love teaching and sharing my crochet more than anything so that means a lot to me! I understand about the expensive yarn/shipping to Canada! I know that Lion Brand usually does a very good sale on yarn for Canada once a year or so! Be sure to watch for that, or if you are subscribed to my blog newsletter I will send out info for it!

Hey! I have a question- on the back panel, the # of rows of ribbing = number of stitches once you get to the “body” portion. The pattern says to crochet into the first stitch, skip two, crochet the next stitch, etc. how is this possible if the # of stitches isn’t a multiple of 3? For example, M is supposed to be 88 stitches, but 88/3= 29.3333. What am I missing?!

I ordered the pattern and kit from lion brand, but I don’t know whether to make the small or the medium. When it says measure bust, is it at the widest point or just underneath the breast I know that sounds like a silly question but I’m used to buying my cardigans already made. This will be the first one that I try - thank you. I love heartland yarn, and the way the pattern looks it’s very crisp because of the stitch having structure plus, I’m always cold and some reviewers said it was a very warm cardigan.

I have everything I need to start this cardigan. I'm making a swatch so I crocheted 25 FSC and worked row 2 of the main body of the back panel for 12 rows. I must crochet a little tight because 12 rows was a little over 3 inches in the height of the swatch. The width was 7 1/2". My question is if I add a few more rows to make the swatch a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2" square, will that affect my gauge, or should I use a larger hook and crochet another swatch. I know that I have to measure 4" within the square for the gauge. Also, is there enough yarn included in the pattern to make a couple of swatches. I'm just checking before I start this project. I can't wait to get going on this one! I really love your patterns and the instructions and video are great. Thanks so much!

I’m struggling to determine which size on the pattern will fit my daughter in the same way yours fits you. I’ve measured the width of her shoulders, which is 18, but then how much should I add to that in order to get the slouchy look as shown here?
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet 2 ай бұрын
Hi! You'll want to measure around her bust. Take that measurement and find it on the size chart under the "to fit bust" category. Then make that size it's under! You do not need to make any adjustments for a slouchy fit, the positive ease is already written within the pattern to naturally fit that way!

hey quick question- on the blog it gives the circumference of the sleeves. I’m making a size medium in very chunky yarn so am following the size lengths other than the number of stitches. it’s all coming along well but i’ve got to the sleeves and have measured the ribbing to the circumference and it’s wayyyy too big. i undid everything and made it to 13 inches instead of 15.5 but it’s still massive. Am i supposed to be measuring from the ribbing? i can’t figure it out 😭

Hi! How long are the sleeves on the size small? I'm going by measurements rather than by row count as my wool is thinner.
