Hope you are still monitoring this. I LOVE this pattern. I'm needed a similar poncho but need it for our Midwest winters. Any suggestions on making it without the open weave?

PC Shazaam you could try dc in stead of ch 1s, so it’s solid.

Not to be a downer as some of these jackets are so adorable..But they can be dangerous. My toy poodle got her front toenail caught somehow...and when all my girls came zipping past after going out to potty i didnt see her on three legs. Well she jumped up on the couch then realized she didnt get her coat off at the door like the others and jumped off the couch..breaking tiny leg bone...vet set it but it never healed and ended up being amputated at the shoulder. So just be vigilant and use care with all those wholes. We have switched to making fabric clothes. I have 6 Chi's and they are always cold.

Am watching and rewatching and drawing this same shape adding my own dogs dimensions and hopefully doing a chain start in multiples of 3. Thanks your such a great teacher. Thankyou ✌️♥️🏴

after the initial 3 increase or Vs to create the corners, the next rows add stitches-more than the 8dc,ch! It gets too looking wonky. Are the subsequent rows supposed to increase in the number of dc,ch1? Is anyone else finding this happening too? Your video is lacking row numbers so it is difficult to go from video to written pattern. Your video also stops counting stitches it mentioning my problem stated above.

Love the poncho but your written directions are not the same as your video. Was confusing at first. Had to rework it to make it right.
