Oh this is just FANTASTIC! You explain SO well. You talk AND crochet slowly that I could follow you. THANK YOU!

You are so welcome! I am glad I am going slow enough. I try to make the videos as concise as possible and I worry that I cut it too short.

This Gnome is probably my 6thor 7th Amigurumi I've ever made. I just made a Cat in a Cup, My last ones I made was Olaf from Frozen. Made 3 of them for my great niece and nephews. I Love Gnomes. Been aiming to make one. And for a Beginner in Amigurumi. This so far has been easy to follow. Ty. 🙂

Been making (or trying) amigurumis for a year now and despite the crampy palm of my hands I love it! This gnome is what I’ve been looking for and there it is! Love how easy you explain your rows and decreases, I need to make a fire fighter and now I have basics for that, count me as a new subscriber! Thanks for sharing your time and talent! Cheers from Vancouver Island!

If you have crampy palm, try another handle for your hook. Depend how you are holding your hook, like a knife or like a pen, you could find anatomic handles, some more expensive than others, but comfort first !

This is been a wonderful video thank you so much how do you hold your yard in your left hand it’s so different than what I’m used to can you demonstrate that or have you demonstrated that before another video again thank you so much

I tend to zoom in a lot so you can really see what I am doing. I am thinking about doing one of the youtube shorts to show little things like how I hold my yarn and the hooks I use. I get this question asked quite a bit.

There is only videos for the basic gnome, but there are written patterns for about 50+ gnomes www.windingroadcrochet.com/gnome-patterns/ . The gnomes are about 75% the same using the basic gnome pattern, then I add special gnome specific details to each one.

Absolutely love this! Would you have a pattern for using the chunky yarn? Or any suggestions?

If you use chunky yarn, your gnome will just turn out larger.

Thank you you’re tutorial my daughter has commented on a cute spring gnome somewhere do you have one of those or should I just follow you and use different colors. And is there a bigger one or are all these pretty small. Thank you

I have 50+ gnome patterns on my website but only this video series. You could make the basic gnome with spring colors and then look up a flower applique pattern to add flowers to the hat for a spring theme. I have a sunflower applique pattern on youtube and a leaf pattern that I used on my sunflower gnome.

Thank you for these videos! I am currently working on your nurse gnome (pattern on Pintrest) and I am unclear on how to crochet the apron. Could you please clarify how to do it? Thanks!
@WindingRoadCrochet
@WindingRoadCrochet 3 жыл бұрын
Hi. You need to remember that you will work the starting chain then fasten off. Here is the link to the grocery store gnome and it has a better photo for the apron. But you only work the chain and the bottom portion of the apron for the nurse gnome. www.windingroadcrochet.com/crochet-store-clerk-gnome-free-pattern/

@@WindingRoadCrochet Thank you for the link. In the pattern it says CH 82...is that correct? It seems like a lot for such a little piece lol.

How to you make the Fire Department hat and what did you use for the hose?
@WindingRoadCrochet
@WindingRoadCrochet 3 жыл бұрын
The pattern for the fireman gnome is here: www.windingroadcrochet.com/crochet-firefighter-gnome-free-pattern/ I believe I used electrical tape and some grey felt for the hose. It will be included in the written pattern.
