Love these little leaves. How can I make bigger ones?
@WindingRoadCrochet9 сағат бұрын
You can use a larger hook or you can check out the pumpkin leaf pattern on my channel. It has a similar shape but it larger.

Hi, I've been scouring the Internet for information on how to create my own appliques. I spend hours searching for the patterns that I want but have to settle for less than I want due to my vision not already being an available to me pattern. So my desire to learn to make my own is strong but my skill is not there yet. There is very little information besides your one video on to create your own applique designs and those can do think it easy whereas those that cannot yet (such as myself) need some in depth learning. The how's and the why's of what stitches, when, and what stitches give what effect, and for more than just single crochet which is a nice start but rarely is a pattern found that is only single crochet. Inc, Dec, HDC, DC, SC/HDC etc. Therefore, the why's of each stitch usage, the effects they'll have to help a novice understand how and when to use them to get their desired effect and so on. It's a complicated process to learn I think and such little help found online to teach it from start to finish so the pattern followers such as myself can gain the knowledge to be a pattern maker so if I want to make an applique of a fox frolicking in a meadow I can make exactly what I want instead of hours searching for what I can't find. And I do in fact want a fox frolicking in a meadow. Lol. I am planning a large blanket with appliqued scene for my son with all the things he loves. Please help us novices who wish to learn. Thank you!

What is the difference between this stitch and a half double crochet?
@WindingRoadCrochet9 сағат бұрын
With a half double crochet you will pull up a loop from the next stitch then yarn over and pull the first loop through the last three loops on the hook. With the yarn over slip stitch you do not do the last yarn over. You pull a loop up from the next stitch then pull that same loop through the last two loops on the hook. So the difference is that last yarn over.

If I don’t have a 7 mm what can I use? Thanks
@WindingRoadCrochet9 сағат бұрын
What ever hook meets the gauge. It is important that the gauge is correct.

That sounds correct. The one in the photos is a small throw and I find that it is plenty big. I can curl up under it with my two little girls.

Hello There! Question. Would you recommend this pattern for pants? I want to make a full bodysuit for my birthday and I don't want to take long with single stitches but don't want the gap of a double. Would I also be able to decrease and increase, if I wanted flare bottoms?
@WindingRoadCrochet5 күн бұрын
Yes you can increase with the stitch. I think there might be a small hole where the decreases are.
