I was going to tell her she couldn't go because we could not afford a gift. But thanks to your video I went and made a beautiful headband with 3 different colored flowers. There are so many variables in this pattern. Sandimoore, if it is too long for the child or adult that you are making it for, you can either work less rows or use a smaller hook or finer yarn. These are some of the ways to make the head band smaller. Good luck!!! And to yadontknow, I'm so glad and thank you!

So I have just learned about 2 days ago, and wanted a semi easy project. I ususally knit stuff, but I have seen so Many videos where you can crochet stuff that look better than some knitting. So I wanted to pick up crocheting. I would recommend a new crocheter to try and make these. The flowers took me a minute to figure out, but I got it. I have made 6 different color hand bands in 1 day and 2 flowers in 1 day!!! Very good tutorial!!!

I love this! I've crocheted my daughter this headband using the flower that's in this video and then put it together with the button. It's genius. Absolutely beautiful. @ Jennifer Diliberto, I just made the size 4 one (where you chain 9), and the same applies to that size as in the video, so you would start out going into the 5th chain from the hook, and then every other chain. Basically, the same thing she did on the video. As for the hook and yarn, I would guess it just depends on preference. I used crochet thread and a size G hook, but that's because I wanted mine thin.

Thanks-I did a newborn one using 7 chains and starting dc in 3rd ch. Attached a big flower and made booties to match. Very quick pattern!

Super easy! I suck at doing anything but the beginners single stitch, squares and scarves, lol. This is really simple, makes for a cute new pattern. Only part where I'm a little lost is connecting the end pieces of the headband together.

You are right! Just add two more chain stitches for each additional dc wide you want to make the hairband. For example: for 7 dc wide would be starting with 15 chains etc.
