I love the idea of using the button so you can add interchangeable embellishments. I would like to suggest that you could even finish the headband by leaving an extra length before cutting your yarn and then attach the button AT the joining. This would make it appear that the the button is actually closing the headband if you didn't use an embellishment, and the embellishment would hide/cover the seam when attached. You would have to tie the ending knot a little differently though.

Thank you for this. I have been searching for a very simple and basic headband. I am making a couple of them for my niece. She's not a fussy girl that wears a lot of make up or jewelry. She does have long hair and I thought these would be cute. I am doing one in kind of girly colors on those days she wants to be girly and one in camo variegated yarn. This is perfecr!!!

You Tube wouldn't let me put a link in the comment box, so I will put it in the description just below the video. It is a link for hat sizes -- It might be helpful. Yes, I can't make any sizing exact because people use different types of yarn that have more stretch and you can have such a variety of head sizes for people of the same age. I've found this out by experience with my grandkids! Good luck ;)

I'm really enjoying your clear instructions, but the sizing is still very confusing. It is unclear how much you can stretch and are there pretty standard sizes for adults/teens/children? Is there a chart somewhere on line? Thanks!

Thank you , thank you, thank you! !! This was the easiest headband tutorial I found. Question. .. how do I keep it from twisting? ? Thanks again!!! :)
@jamieschwellinger786410 жыл бұрын
one thing,mine was twisting to but i figured out that ounce you get more and more rows on to the headband it lines itslef back into place. :)

I'm not sure where you are from. However, US Crochet Terms are different than UK Terms. In the US, a Single Crochet is called a Double Crochet. You can Google: UK Crochet Terms vs. US Terms.
