Hi friends, I hope you enjoy the video! This is a pattern that works up quickly using a variation of a technique called Filet Crochet where you use open and closed stitches to create a design. Hi there! I have a question. In the first stitch pattern you write it out R4 as "2 dc , ch1, 1dc in 2nd sc, ch1, 1 dc in last 2 sts" Is it the same thing for me to write it out as "2dc, ch1, sk1, 1dc, ch1, sk1, 2dc??" Am I getting this wrong? Will I mess up the pattern?

People can also do this year around for blankets. 😘I can’t this year. But I can do this in squares really quick.

I’m only doing stacked sc at the beginning of a row . It was making the sides look straighter. Optionally, I like chaining 2 and adding a double crochet into the same stitch to serve as the first dc . Glad you liked the pattern! 💕

Hi...just curious...Why did you choose to use a stacked single stitch vs a DC?

I found it was giving the straightest edge on this project. Sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it’s a little too short. Typically , I like to do a ch2 to turn and then a dc into the very first st (the ch 2 not counting as a st) I tried both and the stacked sc just looked that little bit nicer. 💕

You bet - at the end of the cat one , I show how to straighten it out so you can work your first row of dc’s on top if it . Or visa versa . You’ll just have to play with the stitch counts a little. I’ll try to make time to play with that and maybe post a sample but yes you can work these together 👍🏻💕

For a scarf, start with a chain of 25 . That’s 20 for the multiple of 10 + 3 at the end. Then an additional 2 for your turning chain. There are written instructions in the description box as well for the sequences. ❤️ You’ve got this . You’re doing everything just the same as what you see in the video .
