Sorry but this is not knitting it’s crocheting there is a difference
@PlayHookywithMeКүн бұрын
You’re right , there is a big differences and this is knitting. The only similarity to crochet is the use of a starting chain. Crochet stitches are worked horizontally , where knit stitches are worked vertically. With this method you create knit and purl stitches just like true knitting. 👍🏻 Take a closer look at the construction of both a knit and a crochet stitch and then you’ll see the difference. Btw , when you drop stitches with this technique, you can use the same fix that you would use for traditional knitting which is Impossible with crochet. 👍🏻

I just started my first gs blanket and have been searching for a method of joining that I like and have been searching YT then, I thought of you! I knew I would find what I was looking for. I am going to use this method because I think it's the prettiest for my blanket. Thank you so much for your teaching and channel and everything. How do you add a border to this
@PlayHookywithMe2 күн бұрын
Add a sc in each stitch around and 3 sc’s in your corners. If it feels to tight in the corners , add 5. Here is a video with tips on a sc edging that you might find helpful. Watch the first one of the 5. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKTOeYVml52be6csi=wIIz69SKIGoNnM6g

@Ana-t9u3 күн бұрын
your crochet looks nice. BUT the way you crochet has way too many movements in it, you are WEARING your wrist out! That movement of your left hand is ruining your wrist. for anybody thats watching , there is absolutely no reason to move that left hand.. likewise no reason to throw( like your knitting). SMH. crochet can be hard on the wrist, but if your overworking both your wrist well then.... NO. Way to many movements. Sorry.

This seems like it might go better if you don't pull out the loop until after you've made the stitch. I noticed you having to adjust again when you didn't but not if you waited.

Thanks! ... this takes away some of the head scratching work for me! I can do anything I'm shown, but don't try to get me to make sense out of the words on a page... I've known stitches since I was in 5th grade and I learned them out of the book but I have noticed that many patterns don't have a detail or two that would help me get from one point to the next that they are telling me to do. Not knowing how to finish a stitch or make a loop or turn it or something like that is what I've been missing. I also don't know enough to know when there is an obvious error in a pattern, which seems to be rampant at times. I am very not willing to waste money on yarn, time, arthritis and achy joints on something that I'm going to have to frog. You are a love to do that hard work for us and to share it with us and I appreciate you so much for it. I didn't get to be near my granny or aunts who could have taught me so many wonderful things like how to do those pillows that look like they're pinched so artfully from behind; patterns locked in with some needle stitches and then all these crumpled places look so pretty on the finished pillow made in some satiny fabric and thrown on the couch as though it were as easy as buying them at the local department store.
