Thank you for being the first person on one of these tutorials to mention turning your work inside out before going to the waistcoat stitch. I thought I was losing my mind 🤣

Hi I love this idea, I've never crocheted before and struggling a little to follow your video... I'd love if you could do one for beginners. Thank you you've inspired me to start crocheting x

May I know the length of the yarn ?

I was wondering is there is an easier stitch than waist coat but same effect as a basket? I am a beginner and I found it really hard! Could I just do normal single crochet instead of wait coat? Also I have the problem of my spiral rippling instead of laying flat. Do you what is causing that?
@TheSnugglery4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, waistcoat is a pretty tough stitch. I don't think I could make a very large piece with it! Single crochet would also be pretty stiff and make a good basket. As for the rippling, I'd double check your stitch count after each round to make sure you're not adding any stitches in somewhere. A little bit of curling might work itself out after your piece is a little bigger.

I love it..but wouldn't yarn base get wet when we water the plant?
@salemdoesstuff4 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't happen if you had the plant (on the plastic cup one) in a second pot w/out holes. That way the water would drain into the big one and not wet the yarn :)

Haha, shows how not a plant-mom I am. I didn't even consider that since my plant was fake. I'd imagine the cotton yarn could handle it if it has time to dry out in-between. You'd probably just have to wash it every once n' a while

I know of one more, Home Decor by Kartopu: amzn.to/3gQOx2S also I think hobby lobby might have a dupe in their brand.

I wish I could buy this yarn. Used t-shirt yarn and it looks good, but not this chubby. Can't see alternative to this yarn in my country. Shame! Great tutorial x
