I spent all Sunday afternoon on my front porch crocheting this listening to the rain and the birds chirping. What a pleasant day! Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial!! I had a lot of fun making it and will definitely be making many more. Great way to use up some scrap yarn as well. You have a very pleasant voice to listen to and are very good at explaining things simply. Thank you! Have a wonderful day 💜

In the previous row it was 'shell-SC-shell'. Thats the SC where she puts the shell in. So a SC in the 2nd DC from the shell, and a shell in the SC

Stitch a long rectangle and fold it in half. Stitch one side, the strap and the other side. Stitching the sides helps to keep the shape of the purse.

@RubyAngelBakes3 жыл бұрын
@@susanconder6590 Hi there, I know for sure it wasn't cotton but other than that I'm not sure. It was wool I had left over from something else I made so lost the wrap a while back. I can tell you that it was such an easy project that you could probably use any wool you like. I'm also a beginner with crochet but found this video so helpful and easy to follow. Good luck and enjoy.

Love this pattern! How many multiples should be the foundation chain in order to make any size of pouch using shell stitch?
@josiepinaesparzaseele1153 жыл бұрын
I started the little cute cross-body bag, but after a few turns on the round, I kept liking more the shells from the first row. I think the difference is that the other shells have chains on the middle, like the ones the pattern asks in row 2. Can you help me understand what is the reason for these chains? Is it to add puffiness? I'm omitting these rows, and I liked them more, the only thing I don't know is what I'm losing.
@lindseyjanowicz30007 жыл бұрын
I love this but the only thing I changed was the handle/strap I did a chain of 100 and then I did a row of all half stitches I have an iPhone and I put it in my original trial bag and felt as though the strap was going to come apart other than that love it

A very easy project, but I would urge a sew in liner. This stich allows for things such as pens to fall out. I had a prescription bottle open while in the purse, and lost several pills. NOT good. I DO love this purse though!

❤️❤️❤️Love this tutorial! I want to make this bigger, to make a gift bag. To do that I'm thinking to increase the starting chain in multiples of 3. Do you think that would work?
@that.music.addict2 жыл бұрын
If I calculated things correctly from another comment this creator made for this, the foundation chain has to be in multiples of 6 and then add 3 more chains. So for example, I did mine with 39 chains and it came out great! Hope this helps.
@imeldavisitacion15842 жыл бұрын
That is right, I made the same number of chain 39 also to mak it bigger. I am halfway with the project.
