I had to start over again the first pattern row a few times, but once I actually got the trick it started being quite easy ! I find it beautiful, and I really hope the person I'm planning on giving this to will like it as well. God bless you, and thank you so much for this tutorial (:

I’m watching this tutorial before I make a scarf for my mom and about 6 or 7 minutes in I had to remind myself that the first row of any cable design is the hardest bc I was like “do I really want to make this?” 😂

I just started crocheting less than a month ago. I have all the foundational stitches down, and i am familiar with front/back post. I have made a few projects and lots of granny squares lol. I will say, this is HARD. But challenging in a GOOD way. I think if i can make this, i can make anything lol. Thank you for this pattern! It is lovely! And your tutorial is perfectly paced for a noob like me. 😅

I made this with two strands of wool. It’s not really a scarf the way I did it. It’s nice and thick, so I can take things out of the oven with it. 10/10! Amazing awesome pattern :)

Thank you for this beautiful scarf pattern and your tutorial. I am using the exact same yarn and color. I'm finding it is working up very stiff and debating about starting over with a 7mm hook instead of 6mm. This yarn isn't the softest but I though also once washed, it might soften and relax a little. What do you think? Many thanks!
@JasmineTeaCrochet
@JasmineTeaCrochet Жыл бұрын
Hi! Mine came out quite stiff as well and soaking in conditioner did very little to soften it. So I think a 7mm hook will help. :)

When deciding on my next project i usually do searches and look at tutorials i've never watched before and eventually everything i watch ends up giving me an idea of what i want to do next (just finished slippers crocheted onto flipflops for my whole family for christmas-super fun) Anyway I really like the way you teach the stitches, very detailed and great for beginner. I am noticing anything that says for beginner is often over explained and often made over complicated but you do not do that so this is really great way to learn and not get confused. The only thing that bothered me was the (i believe its larksfoot-i sometimes rename stitches to make it easier for me so i call it a down arrow stitch)anyway.. it is a drop stitch not a front post as it goes into the stitch and not around the post. Just in case someone learning hears that and gets confused in other tutorials. Post stitches go around the post, if you are dropping down to a row below its just called a drop stitch. Hope that helps those learning in the future. It wont make a difference here but just when reading patterns or other tutorials terms can help you understand what to do easier. Anyway, really appreciate people who take the time to make tutorials and enjoy watching them for fun and ideas. I'm looking at making some sort of hoods for the coming falls season and deciding what i want them to look like and what stitches i'm wanting to use. Even if i dont use this , these types of videos are inspiration when i'm running low on creativity it helps fill up my creative bank so to speak :) so thank you!

I don't know how long she made hers but when I followed this pattern I made it around 180 cm for an adult and I usually make adult Scarfs between 170cm - 200 cm long. It's totally up to you how long you make it and what you prefer but I hope that my measurements might help a little at least ☺️ it's a super nice pattern to follow and I love the results, happy crocheting 😍

So every time we look at the back and do one SC on each stitch, we should have 35 at the end of that row? or 34?

If its too tight, go for a bigger hook, if its too loose then go for a smaller one. Works for different wool types too to get the right size needed.
