This tutorial will show you how to crochet a textured baby / children’s cardigan.
This cardigan can be made in 6 sizes from 0 - 6 months to 4 - 5 years. This tutorial follows the pattern for size 1 - 2 years. Detailed instructions for all sizes are included in the written pattern.
For this cardigan you will need a 5mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn - I used Drops Big Merino yarn.

Waiting to hear gender on my next 2 great grandchildren before yarn selection. Thanks bunches! BTW - appreciate your teaching method with frequent repetitions to keep me on track.

Lovely little cardigan, made a smaller size by using D K wool and smaller needle. Was not to sure about starting sleeve on the sides.... but you really cannot tell where the seam is.. Now going to make using thicker wool ready for colder days.

The main characteristics of DROPS Big Merino are the softness, volume, elasticity and even result, which makes it ideal for knitting structured patterns such as cables. The yarn is also superwash treated and therefore machine washable and suitable for everyday use.
