Beautiful flower. Going to try and make them. Thank you so much. Blessings

Thank you for your time to make and share this tutorial. I am making these for my son’s Summer School Teacher as an end of school thank you gift. I had been trying to learn this flower from a different channel and got a bit frustrated that I nearly gave up. My son really wanted this flower for his teacher so I kept looking for something similar when I found your tutorial. It’s the same flower! However, your tutorial is great and so much easier to follow. I appreciate you zooming in on some of the stitches as it was tough to tell if I was using the correct one at times. I finally completed the first of four flowers and it looks amazing. My son, who is in second grade, is so excited that we are successful in his desires to gift his teacher with daisies. What makes this extra special for us that we just found out he has dyslexia at the end of this past school year. Mrs. Burdette has been amazing with him and helped him pass his language arts class this year. He was not passing until he was diagnosed and she started working with him. He went from failing to a score of 97% and passed. We are so grateful for his teachers and like to express our gratitude with a little handmade gift with a special note just for them. Thank you so very much very for sharing your talent. I hope to find the tutorial on how to make that amazing looking basket. It would be a perfect addition to our gifting process. Many blessings to you always.

Hello Rebecca and thank you for sharing such a beautiful and positive message. I agree with you, homemade gifts are so very precious and having 3 almost grown up children now ( 35, 17 and 18), I know teachers appreciate then so very much. I too an Dyslexic; however, was not diagnosed until I was in my late 30's. I would like to say what a testament to your love and support as a mother, with securing a diagnosis. It is also a testament to your son and the teachers for the motivation and dedication to move forward and overcome hurdles. I have a degree and a masters, despite having dyslexia and one thing which I am blessed with are the qualities described above. Having dyslexia enables the use to think laterally (in my experience) and find alternative and creative ways to learn in a different way. This has only enriched my ability to be a better person and also work with individuals and groups in my professional capacity. I must apologise but I never complete the tutorial for the basket; however, I will take time to root through my messy notes somewhere and find my creation notes. If I find them, I will share with you. Your message has really inspired me to start doing tutorials again. I stopped due to some critical messages (trolls) and removed my patterns due to some individuals using as their own and even selling them. 😕 Once again thank you. Enjoy your summer holidays with family and friends. To your son. Enjoy the wonde of words, literature and creative writing, it is what has and always will keep the world changing. Take care and stay safe 🙏❤

@@CraigLoves2Crochet Thank you so very much for the blessings of your kind words. I was overjoyed with your thoughtfulness and just let the tears flow from my eyes from your kindness. I am so sorry that you have experienced such negative comments and others taking your material. I can only imagine how heart breaking it was for you. I will give you this: the other tutorial I started with, the lady did say it was not her pattern and that she only wished she could remember her source so she could give the proper credit. Because the flower looks the exact same and many of the steps were the exact same, you may have been her source. 😊 I hope to give you encouragement here . . . As difficult as it is sometimes, know that negative people are mostly immature people. We forgive them, pray for them, and let God take care of the unjust so He can do His mighty work through us for the benefit of His kingdom. Do not let the enemy steal your joy. You are stronger than the weak minded. Keep your eyes on God almighty and know He has you covered in every way possible. I will place you in our prayer bowl as you revisit creating more tutorials. I hope to see them soon and am really looking forward to the one for the basket. It is absolutely adorable! Many blessings to you and your always. With Godly love, Rebecca

Thank you so much for your video. I was amazed by the adjustable ring. I've never done that before. I also appreciate that you showed the measurements in both metric & inches, & also showed the stitches in both UK & US. I'm in the US, & I've seen videos that give instructions, but they might say double crochet, but are doing a single crochet for us here in the US. It took me a while to realize that we call the same stitches different names. I can now figure it out, but it makes it so much easier when the tutor clarifies it, as you did. I do appreciate it. The flowers are lovely, & I would love to make them & place them on a knitted blanket. Thanks again. :)

Hi Mary, what a wonderful idea. Please do share your photo 🌼 facebook.com/CraigLoves2Crochet 🌼 If I was attaching the daisies I would attach two petals together using a slip stitch to the desired length and then width. I hope this helps Mary. If I have not been clear I will draw a picture for you 🌼 happy crochet 🌼

Hey the thing is, my ten petalled flower came out way smaller than I wanted, I'm using a comparatively very thin yarn, could I add one more round to the petals would it make it balanced? I really loved your teaching, you were so detailed
@CraigLoves2Crochet2 жыл бұрын
Hi Zainabab, Thank you for your message. I would use a larger crochet hook and yarn to make the ten petal daisy bigger. I have not tried adding one more round. This would increase the stitch count and change the pattern. Happy crochet lovely 😍 👌

I really like the Daisy coasters they’re awesome I am making them for my niece but I’m trying to figure out how to make a hot pad for her I’m using a bigger needle but it’s not much bigger than what the coasters can you help me

If you want to go up a size I recommend you go up a yarn weight and the appropriate hook. You can use a larger hook and the same yarn weight I have used but occasionally you can distort the shape if you go to big. It's trial and error my darling. Have fun experimenting and do share your results on my facebook page x www.facebook/CraigLoves2Crochet
@CraigLoves2Crochet6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your lovely message. You can always use a larger hook if you want a little change in an increased size. If you are wanting a much larger size I suggest going up a yarn weight and hook have a play about. I would love to see your outcome.
