I love your videos. You have have a gift of simplifying the difficult. This border is lovely, so I decided it was perfect for the baby blanket I’m making. I got one side done and ended up frogging it when I realized it is not reversible. I still love it, I will remember this pattern for a project where only one side is viewed. 😊

@@pauladowd3835 It was easy. At the last corner, dc and work last dc/shell. Sl st to bottom of first shell so that the shell you just made overlaps next shell just like it does all the way around. I can’t even tell this last corner from the three others.

@@pauladowd3835 the first video I watched on this edging (this is the second) shows how to make the waves without the row below (so narrower edging) and also clearly shows how to finish and adjust if you don't have the right number if stitches left. It is by Crochet Happiness.

Thank you for this simplified version. Every other tutorial for this border teaches turning before the slip stitch. It's a very pretty border but I'm not about to turn twice for every shell on a large blanket. Being new to crochet, I never thought to just bend the shell forward. So easy. But my blanket was made before I decided on this border. What happens if my stitches are not a multiple of 4? I guess I could find a way to fudge it and maybe it won't be too noticeable.
@naztazia11 ай бұрын
I usually do a single crochet or double crochet border around the whole item before doing borders that require a certain multiple. During that foundation border, I put an extra stitch or two or three in each of the corners to make it work for each edge.
