If you haven't finished yet, let me make a suggestion as someone with 3 kids in diapers. You want to be able to open it at the bottom so you can change the diaper without removing the entire outfit. Put some buttons in instead of attaching the bottom flaps together.

I did it! Thanks to your tutorial, I attempted my very first "outfit" for my baby boy...only I used a different yarn (some yarn I had left over and needed to use before buying some more) and it is therefore fitting more for a 3-6 months old baby haha, but I'm still happy about the outcome. Thank you so much for your tutorial :)

There are some issues with this tutorial, however, it’s not as harsh on the eyes and ears as other videos, the instructor has a soft voice and she puts the instructions on the screen simultaneously, which makes it that much easier to find your place if you pause/rewind/fast forward the video. TIP: use a 5 mm hook when you chain 36, then back to 3.5 mm hook and work loosely, and decrease one more time on both bottom sides before sewing them together, for a SMALL romper. Sometimes I wonder if the instructor purposely omits important tips because they think the student will learn by error as opposed to being spoonfed verbatim instructions.

I used a k hook for a bigger size and chained loosely and it looks like a better fit for a new born. The first one I made it was looking like it was for premie that's why I used a bigger hook.

I recommend DK weight yarn. I was using Cotton Light from Garn Studios in the video. In case you are a very tight crocheter (most beginners), try to use Aran instead. As always, I recommend cotton. It's easy to use and very gentle on the skin. 🙂
