How to crochet Christmas gift bags | Simple & Easy for Beginners

These crochet gift bag are the perfect way to add a festive touch to your home or create special gifts for your loved ones during the holidays. Stuff these bag with goodies & treats! Use as a gift, decor or pop them into Christmas stockings! They’re super quick, simple and easy to make. I promise you!
Create 5 different crochet festive bags using the same pattern. I’ll show you how to modify at the end of this tutorial.
1. Santa Bag
2. Elf Bag
3. Grinch Bag
4. Gingerbread Bag
5. Peppermint Bag
Using #4 medium weight yarn and 6mm hook
Pattern
Note: - Ch2 & Ch1 do not count as a st
- Ch2 at the beginning of each round except round9 you will Ch1
- Sl st to join each round
Rnd1: Red yarn, 15dc in MR
Rnd2: 2dc in each st (30dc)
Rnd3: BLO, 1dc in each st (30dc)
Rnd4: 1dc in each st (30dc)
Rnd5: Black yarn, 1dc in each st(30dc)
Rnd6-8: Red yarn, 1dc in each st (30dc)
Rnd9: White yarn, 1sc in each st (30sc)
Rnd10: 2dc in each st (60dc). FO

These bags are so cute and fun to make. I added a round before the last two rounds and made two strings to pull the bag tight close from both sides. I made all 5 of them this afternoon and am going to make more. Thanks for this creative project!

I think your yarn might be thinner than mine. I used “ I Love This Yarn” . You could use small hook size like 5.5 or 5 but the bag might came out a little smaller.
