Supper cute. Be great in a red color blue and a purple hehe. I started crocheting when I was 5. My mom thought me the basics. Chain, sc, dc and slip stitch. I learned how to read patterns from my grandmother when I was 10. Been working off and on doing crochet ever since. The last 5 years I have crocheted pretty much every day. Its my most relaxing hobby. Thank you for this fun top. Hope you staying safe and healthy. 💜💜💜💜

Do you think a lighter weight yarn with the same hook size could keep the visibility of the cables?
@TCDDIY4 жыл бұрын
Well, Momo, Depends on the size of the yarn. I'd recommend, if you can to work with a hook that's for your yarn size, but if your yarn is a category 3 with the tools used in the video it should work well. 😊

I love your work. Gorgeous! I have a question. I'm stuck on how to do the first repeat row of row #3. Mainly how to start it and do the first cable. Thanks for any help you can give me :)
@TCDDIY3 жыл бұрын
Of course! Row 3 has the same stitches but it's being worked into row #5s stitches if that makes sense. 😁
@lisaduncan93793 жыл бұрын
@@TCDDIY Thank you so much for replying - and SO fast :) When doing repeat of row 3, in row #5 I have two posts and then the set of 2 crossing posts (cable) and then the pillar. If I fpdtr in the first 2 posts, skip two posts, fpdtr in each of next 2 posts (the underneath posts of cable), go back and fpdtr in 2 missed posts (the posts on top in cable), I only have the pillar left. Not two more posts to fptr into. I'm thinking I need to frog right? It's NOT your pattern. It's me. I don't want anyone to think otherwise.
@lisaduncan93793 жыл бұрын
I think I found my error. After hdc, I skip first 2 posts, fpdtr in next 2 posts, go back & fpdtr in 2 missed posts, then fptr in next 2 posts. Don't know why I couldn't see it before. Sorry to have bothered you. Thank you for you help and for such a beautiful project.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I have a question about the sleeves. For example, do I have to decrease after every 15 stitches, or only decrease one stitch in each round? I'm from Germany and I work with translators, unfortunately I'm not sure which is correct. Maybe someone can help me, I would be very happy :)

after every 15 Stitches. 😊

love this working on it right now! sad though, i have had to redo the back quite a few times, can't seem to get it right. it either goes on an angle or i end up with too many rows. just wish you described how to do the back with a little more detail...
@TCDDIY3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, if it's slanting that is natural due to the stitches so that's normal and as for the amount of rows you can skip a stitch into the collar if you know you're going to have too many, but you can always shoot us a message on Instagram, maybe we can help out more. 😊

If we made the cable section a little longer, how do we know how long to make the underarm part? Love this top so much and I really want it to turn out well!

That's completely up to you! If you'd like a batwing sleeve make it lover or if you'd like a more fitted sleeve make it higher. 😊

I don't understand how to repeat rows 3-6. The previous stitches are now all cables so it does not look the same as the video for rows 3-6: I am SO confused. Did you maybe video a row 7-10 just to show how the next cables start?
@97andreab7 ай бұрын
Me too. I’m so confused
@Viney_maple6 ай бұрын
Instead of going into the half double crochets from the previous rows, you’re going into the double treble posts. So you’ll skip the first two double treble and go in to the next two, etc. does that make sense?

Could someone help with what type of yarn to use, for instance should i use DK? I have only ever done amigurumi animals
@kuroshirokasatari4 ай бұрын
She says she uses red heart super saver in the color sage at the beginning of the video, but any category 4 yarn would work. Most yarns will tell you on the label. It'll have a pic of a yarn skein, with a number in the label portion of the skein. Above the little pic will be a word, like fingering, lace, medium, chunky, etc. it should say medium. It's usually by the barcode. Hope this helps!

This sweater is so cute and it’s actually the first one i’ve tried making! I’m having troubles with the sleeves though, the seam keeps getting twisted instead of staying underneath the arm. Am I maybe doing an accidental increase/decrease somewhere or is it supposed to twist around the arm a little bit? edit : i figured it out!

Yeah, it all depends on where you insert your hook. You could accidentally INC or DEC. Id say try to keep up with the number counts, but I like to insert my hook into the same stitch I slip stitch into, just keep track of the numbers just in case. 😊 All depends on your crochet style.

This is a great project and I am addicted to the pattern! But it's killing me that the two sides end up different because they are mirrored so the wrong side of one ends up being the right side of the other...is there any way of avoiding that? Thanks so much!

Thanks so much!! I wouldn't recommend it since it would slant, but if you want to do all back loop half double crochet's for the whole body and sleeves that may help 😊
