How to crochet flower charm / lip balm holder | tutorial

hello ♡ Nice to see you again! After being inactive for so long I’m finally back now with a crochet tutorial. I designed this myself and I really hope you guys like it ✨ This is also a gift for 20k on Tiktok and I’m so happy to have that many friends!
With this tutorial I’m going to show you how to make a flower charm which you can use to store your lipstick or lip balm for easier access when you’re on the go! This is a perfect #crochet project for beginner and I also teach you how to make the stitches in case you has a hard time figuring it out ✿

Hello! 💗 I’m Haly and I’m sorry there is a typo with the petals. It’s supposed to be 11 petals not 10. Also, I’ve read a lot of comments saying you have 12 petals and honestly it’s okay! As long as your flower charm turned out cute and beautiful it’s totally fine. There is no right or wrong so just have fun making it 🥰🙈 The important thing is you had fun and you liked the end results. That’s what matters 💗💗

Tip: if your chapstick doesn't fit you could make round 3 be : 2sc, 1sc. till you have 24 stitches then you continue round 4 as 1sc in each stitch

I have completed the stem part as of now. It took me 1 hr in total, just to create the stem alone! I will make tomorrow! PS: I suck at making the magic circle knot!!!

This is pretty much the perfect video, very clear framing, decent music, and overall just beautiful work. If its possible to put the written steps on screen thay would make it over the top. I was also curious if the amount of chains you start with effects how the pattern comes out. If i wanted to make it longer would i have to do a certain amount of chains? Such as keeping it even or odd numbers?

I don't think 1 Petal count, up or down, would really make a difference. I think the most important part, is if you can make a good fit for the Lip Balm.

She is using the biggest Chapstick I have ever seen the bottom of my Chapstick is as big as the magic circle when there’s eight single courts in there and it only reached 11 rows, including the magic circle when it reached the top of of my Chapstick so it’s either mine is very small or hers is very big

this.. turned out big than i expected i used milk cotton 5ply and a 3.5 mm hook

I used a 4 ply yarn and 3.0mm hook. I guess that is why yours turned out big. You will have to adjust the bottom of the stem to your lip balm 🥰

I am a beginner and for me she is slow enough so I guess it depends on a person. Also, there is a playback speed that you can adjust if you feel like it’s too fast.
