I'm making a scarf for my 18 year old son who is going into the Navy after he graduates. I'd love to add a little, inconspicuous heart about this size to it. How would I do that? This is adorable but rather than embroidery thread would #3 crochet thread work as well? It’s easier to work with and more durable.

Hello! I find that using a good quality yarn or crochet thread really helps make the item look very good in the end. Even if your crochet stitches aren't perfect, a quality yarn will make your finished work look a million times better.
