I really like the way you constructed the base using foundation single crochet. It looks so much better than any I have tried for the rectangle moss stitch style. I like my crochet done without the "holey" look in places. This way fits the bill for me. My mother always said you " learn something new everyday. This was a great something new. Thank you.

I just found your channel. I love how you did the starting chain. There are no big holes going around. I am going to use this from now on. My daughter wants me to make her a table runner. Thank you for posting this.🧶💕🧶

This is the best video! I have made the crochet square blanket that ends up kind of swirled and I have tried other "non-swirled" videos but NONE of them are as easy as this one. You explain it well and using markers make it even easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Great tutorial. Took my brain a few (ok four times) to get the hang of the fourth corner with turn but finally got it! I'm left- handed so that might be part of the reason for my long learning curve. Thanks again, bought your written pattern too which is very clear and detailed as well. Happy Spring! Stay well.

Thank you. I've always struggled with making attractive rectangles and consistently lose my place. Using a stitch marker and understanding this technique, even if I use another stitch or stitch pattern, is so helpful. I had a bit of an annoyance with the quality of the video, but learned a new thing; that I can increase the quality myself rather than rely on Auto.

May I suggest you slow down the playback speed and then go to 3:04 on the video and watch what I do? Click the 3 dots in the upper, right corner of the screen. Then click on Playback Speed. Choose 75% or even 50%, then watch it again.

After you make your foundation chain(odd#) do you chain 2?
@CherylDFloyd4 жыл бұрын
No. In this design, we never begin a round with any chains.

Dee. I bought the pattern but am having trouble understanding. How do i change colours? Where do i change?
@CherylDFloyd2 жыл бұрын
This pattern is designed for yarn that changes color itself. There are no purposeful color changes by the crocheter. My Radiating Moss Stitch Rectangle does involve manually changing colors. There is a free video on that technique right here on my channel. See if you can find it. If you need help, let me know.

Is there a slower video for the starting chain with instructions? I’m having difficulty with that even though I’ve watched it a dozen times. Mine curls. Other than that, thank you for this video. I appreciate it.
@CherylDFloyd4 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, but there's not another video. I'll try to put one together soon and let you know. In the meantime, have you tried slowing the video down?
@CherylDFloyd4 жыл бұрын
More info: While you're playing the video, you can change the playback speed. If you're watching on a laptop, hover your pointer over the lower right corner of the screen until you see the gear wheel. Click on that and choose playback speed. Then choose .75, .5, or .25 to slow it down. You can keep changing it even while the video is running. If you're using a mobile device, touch the upper right corner of the screen, until you see the three vertical dots, touch that and choose playback speed. Then choose whatever speed you want. When you play it more slowly, you might want to mute the sound. Otherwise, especially at .25 speed, the sound of such slow speech is rather distracting. Let me know if this helps.

Yes! That did the trick. :) I was having trouble seeing which stitch you were working into on the left of the starting chain. Slowing it way down and watching carefully, I got it. Thanks again. I’m having so much fun.
