Change colors if you like. Video shows a 2-2-1 pattern repeated 3 times. Ankle still on row 51: chain 6 cm or how much you calculated using the method in the video. She ended up with 11 chains 52: go back with hdc, skipping only the first loop. This will be 10 hdc + the 16 hdc on the base. Then do another 10 foundation hdc. 53 and on, however long you want the sock to be: 36 hdc, change color if you want, chain 1. Video shows a 2-2-1 pattern again. Ribbing: Chain 7. Skip only one chain and go back with 6 single crochets. Slipstitch into the next 2 stitches of the sock base. Turn clockwise, skip the 2 slipstitches, and then 6 single crochets in the back loops of the ribbing. Chain 1, turn, 6 single crochets in the back loops. Slipstitch into the next 2 stitches of the sock base. Repeat this until all the ribbing is done.

This sock is NOT easy to me! It is very complicated BUT if u r learning to crochet socks for the first time this may b simpler to learn! I have crocheted and knitted socks before and I prefer the traditional way to make a sock-very simple! That being said, I have to say it was GENIUS of you to deconstruct the crochet sock and show us a different way to do it! My hats off to you! Ty!

I stumbled upon this pattern this morning and I’m currently finishing up the cuff of the first sock. I’m using little heavier than worsted weigh yarn. While it’s a fast pattern as I’ll have this completed by Thursday it’s taken me a whole day of working on it it’s 12:30 am now. I’m making these into slipper socks for my moms Christmas present. This pattern is very straightforward and easily customizable. Like I’m doing a shorter ribbed cuff. I made all the gifts I’m giving all crocheted because it’s faster. I’m really on a crochet kick. This won’t be my last pair of these socks. I have puffy fabric paint I plan on using on the soles of these socks to make them nonslip.

Hi did you change the hook size or the adjust the number of stitches?
@Sarah-with-an-H
@Sarah-with-an-H 7 ай бұрын
@@razanhassan909 I went by the video instructions for measuring the foot the width of the foot and the ankle. The socks where a Christmas present for my mom. She prefers shorter cuffs so using the same hook size I did a couple less rows of half double crochet and for the cuff I followed your instructions but instead of 6 stitches I did 4 stitches. I also added puffy fabric paint on the sole of the foot once I stitched the whole sock together. Her feedback is the slipper-socks are the most comfortable socks she now owns. I made them out of yarn that was about American worsted weight or slightly thicker. I used a hook that was just easy to crochet with with the yarn I was using and focused on getting the measurements right. It's going to be a go to pattern for me now. I had the socks completely finished in 3 days. I'm not the fastest at crocheting but that's still really fantastic I made them with less than a week till Christmas.

Bruna, for one, I loved your infectious enthusiasm and how animated your comments were. Especially when you got excited at various places along the way. Second, your video clarity was perfect and in sync with your vocal instructions. Third, after watching a knitter, using DPNs, I was pretty much convinced I wouldn't be able to do it. But now? You have given me wings! I can picture using thinner yarn and smaller needle for socks. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 😍

even tough I took a bigger hook, a weird second hand yarn I had laying around and was VERY inconsistent with my counting (which are all bad things going into a new crochet project) It took me like three hours following your video to get the first sock done 🙌. It fits great and comfy. the second one will be done in no time as soon as I find a similar yarn online because there is not enough left hahah

This pattern has been translated from knitting into crochet… I may translate it again into naalbinding! I don’t know how to do naalbound ribbing, though… Might have to omit that bit lol; just do the larger top bit in a slightly different stitch. Thanks for the pattern! It lookes like it *won’t* actually break my brain like regular sock-stitching; and be more fitted than the ‘tube-sock’ method!

After crocheting a quick prototype for my foot shape: if your toes are at drastically different heights (my pinky is way further down than my big toe) you can try decreasing more on one side than the other for the toe portion, it gives more room for you big toe :) Also going a little bigger than you think you might need is a good idea, mine turned out VERY snug 😂

@salamanda11
@salamanda11 Жыл бұрын
@@english_with_arina6853 All of the lengths and widths are customizable. Rather than following the exact stitch and row counts in the video, work each section to your foot size. So you start with however many stitches needed to cover your foot width, decrease for a few rows, increase for a few rows, then do the bottom of the foot to the length you need, and repeat those sections. Then you can make the ankle any width you need by adding or removing stitches.
