@@Grany571 there was no offense intended. I was simply implying how old I am and it’s my first amendment right to free speech that allows me to say whatever I want. And if you don’t think God/Jesus (because they’re the same) has a sense of humor you’re sadly mistaken. Look at the platypus. 😑🤣 Oh! I find the second method easier than the first one. This is the best way to get straight edge .
@janikusu86774 ай бұрын
i used to struggle with the first method but i altered it to make it easier for me to crochet. instead of wrapping the hook and holding on tight, i twist the yarn before i insert into the stitch. then i just flick the twisted yarn over my hook before the final pull through two. that's what works for me these days anyway, i think it looks nicer than the stacked stitches

Im using a soft and thick blanket type yarn for it, so i hope this still works with it ❤ also, love your nails! EDIT: i coupdnt get the firat method to work with the thick yarn (probably just my fault) so i tried the second and it really helped

Good morning Donna so I have a question I’m doing a lemon peel stitch pillow chained 57. is the solution to straight edges pretty much not chaining one even if the pattern says so? because my pattern is chain 57 (skip to second stitch sc stitch across all 57) then once I get to end chain one turn work and begin (sc)(dc) my edges are not too straight but I believe it’s because of that chain one instead of just turning as I’m watching your examples it makes so much sense as to why I believe the straight edges method would be just to turn and not chain one.

Thankyou for your wisdom. Does this change the count along the row or will the count be the same. Thankyou

It would be the same stitch count. This stitch would just replace the first stitch, which is usually a chain 2 or 3.
