I finished my first cardigan thanks to this tutorial, I started it 2 years ago and felt intimidated by how much time I needed to put into this project. I left it alone and recently I got the motivation to finish it.

If you want both sides the same color patterns, make sure to choose 2cakes that have identical centers. If you can’t find matching cakes, begin by pulling the yarn out of one until the colors match the beginning of the other cake (as close as possible). I know each crochet instructor has their preference, but I almost never see anything together (except purse linings), I single crochet all seams. If you don’t want the slight amount of bulkiest, slip stitch it together. I also crochet over my ends. That’s a given time saver. But everyone does what they’re comfortable with.

They’re all the rave in fashion magazines and high end models are often spotted with the granny square cardigan and I’ve noticed on some TV shows, there’s a often a folded crochet blanket or on the back of a couch in the background! Hi Jennifer I am making this cardi for myself and I am using leftover Premier Luna yarn in different colors and so far is looking wild and crazy.
