This is WAY better than putting a chain between the two DCs.... it leaves less holes and provides a tighter, neater pattern IMO. I'm working on a blanket using this stitch. It's just lovely ❤

Oh my gosh yes I am commenting again, I used your V stitch pattern after trying other V stitch patterns with the extra chain in the middle of the V and the chain three at the beginning, that was a long time ago, recently I started a Cowl, and it was a v stitch pattern, when I started using her pattern, I instantly pulled everything apart and realized I knew a much easier and tighter v stitch, it was yours! When I started the other v stitch pattern everything was way too loose, so thank you again! 🤙🤙🤙🥰

Thank you for this fabulous video. I've been looking for a suitable stitch for a scarf & this is it. As someone previously commented, your version of the V stitch is tighter & therefore prettier than the version where you chain three at the beginning & chain between the V's.

Love this pattern. Why is it 2 chain at the end if it is a double crochet? Isn't it usually 3 for that stitch? I am worried it will start to gather at the edges? or will 2 be fine? has anyone done this and it worked.
@surban4369
@surban4369 6 жыл бұрын
I will ch2, or do a ch3 alternative, in order to minimize the end-of-row space created by a ch3. I haven't noted any gathering at edges.

Elizabeth Shank honestly it's a learning game unless you have a pattern. With this I would just chain until you have the width you want and then start doing rows until it's as long as you want... all depends on the size blanket you want but for a throw size I would at least buy 3 of each color. Maybe even more, better to have more than not enough! Especially because I like to buy them all at the same time to ensure you get the same lot # so the color is the same.

I usually carrying my colours when working on multi-coloured projects, or us the Magic Knot (tutorial on my channel), to avoid having to weave in all those pesky loose ends! :)

How do we weave in all the tails from all the color changes. It's such an open pattern it's hard to crochet over the tails without them showing through.
@HopefulHoney
@HopefulHoney 5 жыл бұрын
I often carry my colors when working (especially when the rows are so close together), as that reduces the amount of weaving in. If you're using bolder colors, crocheting a border around the finished piece will hide any color changes on the edges. 😊
