How to Crochet the Middle Bar Half Double Crochet (mbhdc)

Yarn Over (yo) and insert your hook into the middle bar (third loop) of the hdc stitch from the previous row. This bar is located just below the top two loops of the stitch, on the front side of your work.
Yarn Over (yo) again and pull through the loop (you now have three loops on your hook).
