Love your tutorials. I'm a lefty and they have been so helpful. I was to the point of frustration. I have a pattern that calls for a spike shell stitch. I don't understand how to accomplish that. Help!

Hi dianaschall...There are so many variations and it really just depends on the pattern you are following. I am planning on doing more tutorials on a full pattern using these stitches and there are also some great patterns on youtube using these stitches. I hope that helps!

Hi Toni, I will try to answer your question the best way I can and I hope it helps. To crochet a spike stitch you need to work your stitch in the row or two rows underneath the row you are working on. This sounds tricky but there are some tutorials here on KZbin that may help. Now for the shell part Work your shell into the row underneath or below the row you are working on. I hope your pattern will explain which shell stitch you are making. If I need to explain in more detail. Let me know!

I need h.elp with corners as I am using this as an edging for a blanket

Hi... there are so many different ways to use the shell for and edging. One way would be to place a shell on each corner of your blanket... You may want to google search for crochet shell edgings and see if there is a pattern that you like!
