I am so glad that you care enough to take your time to explain the pattern. I am a beginner and am happy to say that I made two of your headbands with the button on them. They came out good for a beginner. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to more of your video's. Now on to the spiral flower :)

I just want to echo what Gloria, Karen, Christina, Aminah, etc. wrote. I think your pace, delivery and level of detail are beyond perfect for novice crocheters. Those of us with more experience can simply fast forward through the video to whatever next step we need. Thank you so much! ツ

And while I am an advanced crocheter, sometimes I just like to watch someone crochet (or knit)!!! So I pull up a video of something pretty like this and mute it and change the speed to faster setting if need be.

TMI !!! I know your heart is in the RIGHT place, BUT ... I got so very frustrated going over and over and over. I've been crocheting for over 50 years! Finally, I scrolled down the comments and I could clearly see that I was not alone. I've never made a crocheting video but this has taught me something to keep in mind, as I too try to give people as much info as possible and sometimes less is best. Like I said, "I know your heart is in the right place," so PLEASE don't ever stop teaching, but maybe use this as a learning video, I know it has for me. I will scroll comment 1st and see what the people are saying. B.hooked Crochet, thanks for posting ~ btw, one of the comments talks about making a poinsettia, using red yarn, I think that would be awesome.
@jessiegarner27726 жыл бұрын
Shad Ebinger The whole point is for beginners, if you look at the comments the ones who dislike how long the video is are not beginners. The beginners are in love with this style of video. She explains several times she does this on purpose to make the tutorial beginner friendly for people who don't know as much about crocheting in general. She offers the written pattern specifically so advanced people can use it and skip around in the video IF they need help. The written latter is available so you don't have to watch the video at all.
@ja-in1ye3 жыл бұрын
@@jessiegarner2772 She's not talking about being too slow or going over basic stitches too many times. It's about being too detailed but somehow also omitting some information that would have helped figure out what's going on - like when you're just starting a new petal and the first sc is going into the slst that went into the ring, and then the hdc is going into the back loop of the last st. She does it, but doesn't say it like that, which would make it easier to understand and to learn this unusual pattern by heart. Also the written pattern is driving me insane because it's different that the video!

Thank you for sharing the beautiful flower. For used shower crocheters, could u possibly put items needed in med size black lettering so we can pause, write it all down, then have it all ready to begin? It would be so helpful. I enjoy the videos that show items/materials needed for recipes, quilting etc also. Less pausing and backing up. LOVE this flower. Plan to make many and get the small and medium size patterns also. Thank you!
