I would really like to see up close which actual chain you go into at the very start and again when working the vertical line where the join goes under the horizontal row. I really love this join. I know a few of my squares have an extra stitch or two. How would you compensate for there being a different number of stitches on the sides of the square when you line them up? It's probably a difference of 2-3 stitches, maximum. I want it to look good because the blanket is a gift. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think the great thing about crochet is that it's really forgiving, so if you skip a stitch here and there you probably will find that it's not noticeable. To be on the safe side I think I would skip in the corners of the squares 😊

Thank you, I’m glad you like it! If you only have one chain in the corner you could just skip it and move onto the next stitch - the great thing about crochet is that it’s very forgiving, and it should work up looking the same 😊
