I am not even a quarter of the way through the video and I had to pause it and comment you have the best explained video on halter tops, I just started crocheting 3 years ago , I'm a beginner intermediate and I watch a ton of tutorial videos and this is by far the best one, thank youuuuu! - Nina, California

When I did the straps, instead of fastening off I slip stitched all the way across to the other side then made the second strap. The top was neat and i didn't have to worry about weaving ends in. Thank you for this tutorial

I'm very much a beginner in that I always crochet the same squares every time. LOL. Lots of potholders and baby blankets. But I found this video very easy to follow and I made a top for my daughter. I will keep practicing this and other patterns for summer. Very well done video.

Thanks for the great tutorial! By the way, what is the height right before you start working on the 36 stitches? I couldn’t tell if it’s 6” when you finish increasing for 3 rows or after you add 3 more rows thereafter.

Thanks for this pattern It’s beautiful and I’m making one of for my 6 yr old daughter while watching this I do have a question working in the center where you count 36 stitches does that goes for the child size to or is the number of stitches different because the size is smaller ? Help please thanks !

Hi, I would really love to make this for my niece , I can crochet it but dont know how to measure or how many chains for a small. Help! Thanks.
@TexasBoy4847 жыл бұрын
Do you need to have an even or odd number of chains in the beginning? I didn't see if you said that or even if it matters

it doesn't matter

I just had my niece try on the top and it was way too big, so big in fact, it fit me, and I'm BIG!! I subtracted 3 inches off the starting chain and even had her try it on up to the increase part the top was tremendous! From the bust to the top it widened so that even with the tie back, it was unwearable. My question is, should I try to remake it using 4 rows of decreases? I live the top and am determined to make it correctly. I was thinking if you say no decreases, perhaps eliminating the increased would help fit it better? Please help! Thank you💜
