I'm a medical student and ever since I got into college, I felt like I wouldn't be able to devote myself to dance as much as I wish to.. But the way you explained it ma'am, made it seem very doable and less intimidating. Thank you so much for doing these conversation series❤🙏🏼

There is a saying in Tamil which goes thus... "paadap paada raagam. mooda mooda rOgam." I will add this line to those two as "aada aada naatyam!". For the benefit of those who do not understand Tamil these lines mean "The more you sing, the better you can sing. The more you conceal, the worse becomes a disease. The more you dance, the better you dance". Nothing but 'asura saadhakam' can result in 'dEva gaanam' and 'gandharava naatyam'! :)

Greetings Rukmini Ji, Your grace and generosity are an inspiration for us all. I would also like to honor your background duet dancers, the Breeze and the (hibiscus?) Flowers over your right shoulder. When you mentioned the flexibility component, as if on cue, the wind picked up and twirled the hanging blossom, emphasizing ( to anyone who would take notice) the importance of what you are imparting on us. Then, when you suggested "slow" it gently swayed the branch, concluding with the enclosed flower rocking to your final mention of flexibility. No doubt there are stories in your tradition that express the Divine interplay of human, the Elements and Nature Spirits. It is apparent to me you have a captive audience who love to dance with your Light in those Unseen (to many) Kingdoms, in addition to us mere mortals who are enraptured with the expression of your gifts. Abundant blessings to All participating in your online training program. Peace, Therese 🐬🙏🐬

It’s just because it is important to immerse yourself with your teacher for some time before venturing to workshops. :-) But I will consider and maybe do something on a simpler topic 🙏🏽

@@dancerukmini Great tips! Do you think you could give some tips you'd recommend for routine on the day of a performance? Food tips, exercise tips, mentally and physically prep? :-)
