It's all player dependent. Each player is unique. Getting value from calling stations and bluffing the ones who overfold. Game selection is everything along with skill Enjoyed the video. What you said made a lot of sense

For players playing $2/$5 and below this is perfect winning strategy against bad recs. Whether they are passive or over aggressive bad recs it is a totally straightforward and simple. Your basketball analogy is a good comp

Find that weaker players play too many hands (both limp-folders and maniacs) and call too much. They become pot-committed too easily and are curious to see what people have. So you really don't have to bluff much because they leak so much playing normally. Can play a low-variance style and just kind of grind them down. Another thing is that even when you have nothing you can sometimes move weaker tight players off their hands with small bet sizes. They might have bottom or mid-pair or something and can move them off betting like 10% pot or something and they think bet = strong because they don't do a good job of thinking in terms of pot odds, implied odds, etc.

Like Jiu jitsu, many people will give a beginner their high level game. I just cross choke them from my guard. If they block that then they have earned my next level attack.

Why would you want to "crush" any player? Bad for the game and makes them want to go shoot Bac or play blackjack.

It's a zero sum competition. If you don't win, they will. It's the point of the game. It's like saying, why would a basketball team want to CRUSH their competition? What else are they supposed to do, let them win?
