Very interesting moves. Regular De La Riva settings hurts my knees but those reaching for the far leg are fine. Thanks

Some schools teach to only put pressure with your knee without sticking your leg in there, for this reason. Personally I like the traditional way, but my daughter uses the knee pressure variant.

In the first technique, what is preventing the uke from stepping back and go into kneebar or just sit down on top of Marcos and starting the kneebar attack.

Marcos is Holding the uke s ankle. And had pressure on the knees. He can not move

Need to clear the grip on the sleeve first. Then you can work on leg attack options like back stepping into honey hole.
