See Sarracenia Northwest's videos of Darlingtonia in their native habitats - both the ones in the High Sierra and coastal locations. They also have videos on growing the species, but suggest that people get some experience with other temperate pitcher plants first.

Some strains are more heat tolerant than others. I got a heat tolerant one from a friend. Believe it or not she had the plant in a greenhouse the whole year without ant cooling. We had a heatwave this year and for weeks temperatures were around 35 C (95 F). The plant didn't care and it made tons of offshoots and filled up the whole pot. I got one of those offshoots, so let's see if it will grow as easily for me

Hi John question can you give me tips on growing Darlingtonia in Miami Florida weather I had one it did well at first but died since I was out of town for nearly 2 months I have a good idea but would like tips for improvements

How would cobra lilies do in Northeast Florida? With a grow zone of 9a.

They'd grow well, as long as you keep the roots from getting too warm. They grow in mountain streams, so Cobra Lilies dislike heat on their roots.
