thanks for another good guide to fusion 360. Personally, I think it's a relief that you make small mistakes along the way. it shows how to solve the errors or problems you yourself encounter when you are relatively new to fusion. I have been using it for about 8 months. There are so many ways to get to the same result. and it's great to see your approach. I managed to make a small jar with a screw lid after your video. I have tried several times with the built-in thread tool, but even though I had a tolerance on it and my 3D printer is relatively well tuned, it didn't work. but now there are no problems following the method you show. In short, thank you and please continue.

That's an awesome way to set up a little studio, fully editable. Didn't know about that. Only thing I would wish for the tutorial was it to be a little bit more to the point. Nothing wrong with showing an extra trick or two but the main thing started half way in. You are great at explaining what you do and why.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes I rambled on way too much in this video! Lol. New to making videos, and will get better at this! I appreciate the constructive criticism!

From Design mode, you can press A for Appearance and apply materials/colors to your design without going to Render.

I would rather be taught by someone that it is not an expert. Experts assume you know what all the steps he/she is taking, without explain how to get there. Thank you.

Is there a way to use a light but not let it show up in the final render? Like a spot light that is very close ot the model and there is no way of making it disappear in the final shot. I hope you mean what I mean. Thanks for the help in advance :)

hmm.. I'm not sure I completely understand. But if you create the lights like I did in the tutorial, you can turn the visibility of them off before you render, and they wont show up. However, these lights only show up when you render, so they wouldn't be shining on the model beforehand.

@@ShopTherapy623 First of all, thank you for taking the time to reply. What I mean is I want the effect of the light in the final rendering without the bodies of the lights to show up in the render. Basically hiding the body or component that is shining onto the product I want to light with multiple bodies or components the way you are doing it but without them showing up in the final render. From my understanding, all the bodies that show up in the scene will also be rendered as bodies or components. But all I want is the product to show up with the lighting effect. Does this make more sense? Let's say I have created a tire that I want to put 3 lights and, a main light, a fill light and a background light and the angle I am using for the camera will always show the fill light because it's showing up in the frame. I still want the effect of the light, just not the body that is showing up in the frame. I hope this helps. Again, thank you very much for taking the time to make these videos and replying :)

@@mehrdadhaghighi5140 Ahhh! Got it. In that case you just need to move the lights further away from the model so they don't show up in your "shot." If you have to move them away pretty far, you can increase the size of the light, etc. Does that make sense? So no, you can't hide the light, you just have to make sure they are out of your frame.

@@ShopTherapy623 That's really a pitty. Sometimes I need small lights in specific areas to ligth only some spots for very detailed shots. It's not always possible to move out lights . There's ways to make it work with multiple shots and combine them in Photoshop but it would be so much easier if it were possible to just hide a light and still use its effect. Maybe Fusion will add this in the future. In any case, nice talking to you and keep up the great work!

@@ShopTherapy623 BTW: Quick tip, saving a specific angle as a new view helps to frame up the shot and move the lights afterward so you can adjust all lights without losing your hero shot angle. This makes life a ton easier.
