Liquitex - matte finish varnish
Tamiya - x22 and other colors
Model Master - matte or semi matte
Mr Super Clear - Matte finish

I haven't collected any Mortal Kombat figures other than Spawn MK11 since I've been a fan of that character for years now. However this particular figure that you've coated in matte finish looks freaking awesome, I love the Aztec and Mayan motifs which is what that figure represents. I still think it looks more paint but that's not what you were focusing on in todays video. I've never owned a airbrush and to tell you the truth it looks sooo complicated to use but you're right to avoid the texture of brush strokes its the best tool to use. I have heard of a portable airbrush like device that does not require a air compressor which looks like it would be great to use for adding a protective coating like you did in today's video. I was tempted to purchase it since I have limited in space and it looks ideal for small simple projects such as what you highlighting on your video. Very good! I've been experimenting with multiple finishes recently and might replace the Mod Podge: Acrylic Paint COLOR/BRUSH-ON Mr.Top Coat FLAT /SPRAY Mod Podge GLOSS/BRUSH-ON (after Mr.Top Coat)

Tamiya flat clear is great, also mod podge needs a decent flat clear coat on top as it yellows overtime
