How to Customize MAYFLASH All Button Arcade Controller F500 FLAT for PS4/PS3/SWITCH/PC ,with Turbo

I absolutely LOVE this controller. But it has one flaw I wish it didn't have. No removeable cable. Ideally the cable would be USB C and there would be a plug in the cable cubby. I think I am gonna try and perform this mod myself. However let me gush about this fightstick for a moment. I opened mine up today after getting it just to see if this mod would be easy. I was amazed by what I found inside. Not only is there a picture showing the cable colors and what button they go to (not show in this video for some reason) but the cable (that I want to remove) has a ferrite toroid choke on it you can see it at 0:11 zip tied to that plastic standoff. This is probably why the cable is not removeable stock. But this little touch is incredible. What a toroid does is "choke off" EMF. Basically meaning random radio signals cant give false inputs. The reason I am amazed by this is just because this interference would be exceptionally rare to happen without it. The only other minor complaint I have is the buttons not being screw-ons but clip in buttons, but thats such a minor thing and the stock buttons are already really good I dont really have this as a complaint more of a "if I designed this I might change" type of deal. Oh and maybe a little more foam/rubber on the bottom for better lap grip.

Thanks for your feedback. It is much appreciated if you can share us your modded picture. The weight of F500FLAT is not heavier than F700. Current rubber cusion can give it stable holding on flat table. meanwhile, cost is high if put a whole piece of big rubber cusion. Our F700ELITE version has one whole piece of rubber cusion.

It looks like the PCB has SOCD cleaning for the arrows. Will there be a firmware update for the original F500 to give it SOCD cleaning? I don't want to use an external SOCD cleaner if the PCB can support it.

Yes, you can switch to DP mode before choosing the SOCD modes. F500FLAT share same case tooling as F500. But they are two different products as the solution is different.

your mentioned is screw buttons. Sorry to say Screw buttons can not support. Please try Sanwa BUTTONS. OBSF 30MM or OBSF 24MM www.mayflash.com/product/SANWA_OBSF_30_Original_Push_Button.html You can check SUNWA buttons diagram here

Is the body and Lexi the same size as the standard f500 so I can put a plexi on that doesn’t have the cut outs for L3 and R3

Housing case shares same tooling at F500. Acrylic clear panel & Top metal Panel are same size as F500. But hole size is different. You can see F500FLAT--Buttons size is 24mm while F500 is with 30mm.

Input delay is around 1ms . No speed problems . No need any controllers/adapters plugged into F500Flat .

It is around 1MS latency for F500FLAT. And input latency for MAGIC BOOTS is around 4MS.

The wingman fgc works great on this. I will note that the touch pad button doesn't work but the share button functions as touch pad leaving the share option unavailable.

MAYFLASH'S F500FLAT is done with MAYFLASH'S button, NOT Sanwa's button. You can DIY with Sanwa buttons if you want.

it supports PC directly, no need any controller. Please push the mode switch to Xinput (top ) or Dinput (bottom) when you want to play game at PC.
