I'm a hairdresser of 12 years & I'm so sorry, I don't want to sound rude or catty but I just have to speak my mind & keep It real & my opinion from what I've just watched Is If that haircut was done right the first time It would of looked amazing, but the fact when It was dry she basically cut It Into another style to try & fix It. There's no way that much hair should of needed to be cut off at the end. I would just lifted all the top section up from temple to temple In a U shape & just ran my thinning scissors through the bottom section to take some of the weight out. & that seemed to take a very long time. Bit too much talking.

its not blunt at all, just uneven... the pony tail at the end is triangular, LOL
@vickijohnson88947 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but this cut and finish is awful, you should always cut along the neck to prevent all that graduation, you shouldn't have to do all that clean up at the end just add texture!

I was always told that lifting the hair just a little by pulling it out when cutting it like that it's no longer a one length because you are lifting it and the bottom will be slightly just a bit longer.
@ibhomer10177 жыл бұрын
Exactly.....I always cut a blunt style directly on the skin...it drives me nuts to see her cutting the length against her fingers and then pivoting her fingers up as she gets to the front...no wonder she has so much finish work to do at the end!

Every stylist has their own technique. That's what makes people return to get their hair done. Just because you wouldn't prefer that technique, doesn't mean that it's bad. These biased comments are childish. If the clients are happy, that's all that matters. If it's not your hair, stop acting triggered, grow up. P.s. Love that cut, I wish my stylist made it look that good and sleek/detailed when I asked for it.

All the hate I get but we are forgetting that most of the cut and color and service is the person giving it! People forget that clients are also paying for a personality whether it be light and airy or dark and negative... she is a blast from the past and when your around someone that is super positive and light and fun to be around it makes you feel light and airy and fun!! If I went to a stylist that didn’t talk or didn’t make eye contact and didn’t tell me it was a sexy fun trendy look and they executed it perfectly as a dull rock in the yard I wouldn’t come back!!! We r service professionals!!! Our service aside from haircuts is a huge portion of what we are giving these guests!! At the end of the day have fun joke laugh and be serious at th same time; it’s just hair! It will grow back!! And if you are making your guests feel happy and sexy fun and flirty with their new hair..... success enough said! And she loved it she looked like she felt like a million bucks! So kuddos to you! No one is perfect and we are human we will make mistakes but she improvised and finished and the “guest” was happy! Let’s try and spread love not hate and notice the great things in the video 🤗

There's this amazing thing called a "layer". I think that's the word you're looking for.
@alidolli177 жыл бұрын
Ukaku Rabbit I'm not talking about layers. I'm talking about the perimeter of the haircut it's uneven and because it's somewhat of a blunt cut it's very visible. Because you're not a hairstylist you won't even notice it or even know what I'm talking about.
@chloethatcher61247 жыл бұрын
This is why hair stylists get such a bad name!! You're all bitching about the hair cut and as a stylist myself it was a good decent cut and Mandie is very talented!! If you do not check a hair cut at the end like that then that is the problem, there could be little mistakes that hide themselves, absolutely nothing wrong with checking! Be nice!

I'm not a stylist nor do I aspire to be but it's so obvious those are *not* "baby hairs". Also, as someone with very thick hair as well, the bottom layer closest to her neck probably should have been cut much shorter to avoid a "Dora the explorer" looking cut.

Mandy I would drive across country to get you to fix my blonde. My hair has grown out long and the girl who lightened it last two times left two lines of demarcation and the toned it uneven with grey areas and it became overdried and broke all over which has never happened before(it's really thick and strong). I want to save it but I live in Chicago and I don't know who to trust or where to go to get it fixed with melted root area and keep my pretty blonde! Do you recommend anyone in Chicagoland? I'm middle aged with spinal issues and that combined with time after time of crappy dye jobs and lightening jobs has made me so paranoid that I just don't know what to do anymore and the clock is ticking. Please help lol.

I loved this haircut and I am just like your fellow hairstylist. I have dk. hair and I am extremely indecisive with my hair the color the cut everything. One day I want to keep it a 3n and the next day I'm like maybe I should go lighter to my more natural haircolor like 5n or maybe 4n. When it comes to cutting forget it. I just went to my stylist 2 weeks ago and she trimmed an inch blunt what I wanted, because I want to grow out my hair long and healthy. It's past the top of my shoulders about 3in. But now I saw a pic. of Rihanna with a blunt chin length bob and I fell in love with the cut, so now I'm debating and it's driving me crazy! Ugh!!❤Love your haircutting videos Mandie, Love how you get in depth with cuts and colors,amazing!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'm confused why you would pull so much tension on curly hair. I have extremely curly hair and it shrinks sooo much. If you were to hold that much tension on my hair when you cut it. When it shrinks back up it will be all uneven because the curls weren't laying right when cut and they all shrink differently.
