3:01 Can tell that was done by a Master; cuz that was smoooth & no hesitations at all👍🏻. Cool as ice😎 Awesome work you guys did here, looks great & that shower tile & drain is beautiful. Also how like how you put the grinder down with “bit” facing up (as not to damage surface); along w/ cleaning up as going & keeping a clean work area. Nailed it! Cheers my Friend✌🏼

I use a bit of ply as a guide when I drill tile or stone. Cut it with a standard hole saw first. Nothing worse than slipping and scratching something

Thanks for this video! I forgot to tell my quartz Fabricator that I needed a soap dispenser hole, but really want it , so I'll have to have my husband put it in.

Great tips. I will use a quartz countertop for a vanity sink. The faucet requires a single 2-1/16" square hole for installation. How do I square up the hole?

Is it ok to make the hole on the countertop seam best place to be centered but seams like it could weaken the seam

Good to know quartz can be dry drilled after it's installed. But why were the faucet holes not drilled when the counter was fabricated along with the sink holes?

Be careful dry cutting that stuff man. That dust is nasty business. The water isn't just for the bit, helps keep dust out of the air.. Even with the vac, you ought to wear a respirator.

This can be a marble countertop, which is waaaaay weaker than quartz. That is why he didn't need water for this. Its like drinking into wood... However if it is quartz, USE WATER! I have seen so many failed attempts b.c the heat ended up cracking or chipping the countertop. It only takes a couple minutes more to stay safe instead of risking a $1000 mistake.. -.-

OR you know they create these “magic” things called pilot bits and an arbor. Then the holesaw can’t walk..in fact..the tilted entry means you will never actually have a perfectly clean hole. That’s why you are wiggling it and “reaming” the hole. Your way works IF you don’t have the proper stuff and know what you are doing but an arbor with a 1/4” pilot bit slapped into any cordless drill is the PROPER way to drill with a holesaw. How would I know? I mount saddle tees onto steel every single day at work. Only difference is you use a diamond tooth (aka masonry holesaw) on stone instead of a steel cutting one.

Bro, why are you rocking the bit back and forth like that? Notice how it jammed up after drilling through? You're running the risk of cracking some stone. And as others mentioned, a jig amd water is a whole lot safer... Also learn how to lay out and run subway tile. In corners, cut pieces smaller than 50% should be adjacent to cut pieces larger than 50%. That way the tile looks like it's running continuously around all 3 walls. Those random cut pieces look like butt. And the black grout or silicone isn't helping. Caulk the color of the tile, not the grout... And why is does the vertical bullnose run below the top of the sill at the window? The sill should have been installed first and the bullnose sits on top. And why is the side of the cabinet tiled? #JANKY
