Thank you for showing this technique. If the hole would have to be cut on a tile which is already installed - then I think the drill bit would be needed.
@AaronHahnStudios Жыл бұрын
Yes, your right, it would be easier with a costly drill bit if it were on the wall already. But! .. It Can be done! I've done it many times. I think I will do a video on how to do that. Great feed back marttanek.

It looks like patience is one of the elements to bring to tile jobs too! Soon I must drill holes 1cm distance away from old existing holes, on tiles already up (replacing a fan). I'm concerned 1cm is too close and it might cause cracking. However after seeing this it looks like tiles are composed of packed granular particles, so there are unlikely to be latitudinal or longitudinal 'grains' along which adjacent holes could multiply a weakness. Wood does this though. Still, I'm nervous about the close holes. I guess I must be extra careful and apply less pressure than usual, as I don't know where the gaps between glue are under the tiles. Thanks for all of the advice on your channel :)

I wish I could see your situation visually so I could help with your project. Sorry for the late response, I have been out at The Great Australian Bight working on my History aspect of this channel. I hope your project went well. All the best & take care.

@@AaronHahnStudios Hi Aaron, still haven't done it yet. They will be 6mm holes. I wish I had photos but don't unfortunately. Thanks for your reply. I'll just take my time with less pressure.

@@AaronHahnStudios Thanks. Great Video reference. As I'm not sure whether the job will present me with porcelain or ceramic, I've grabbed one of those cylindrical diamond core bits too. Whichever of the two textile types they have, I'm still going to take it very carefully. Thanks for the great uploads and for your help.

@AaronHahnStudios well you succeeded here. I originally bought a hole saw, turns out it was the wrong one and Hardware store is half hour away.. So I ended up cutting all holes with a grinder just fine. And returned unused hole saw for money back 😉😉

IDK, are hotdogs ever very good? 😅 I'm American, but hotdogs are not my thing lol. 😂 It does seem like American construction is a lot more complicated than other parts of the world though.

@@ValerieFarnesBachmanComposer I'm an American and it's not complex at all most houses are made out of wood or cheap materials if you see how others build houses around the world you'll see how bad they are
