I would give anything to have this man do my hair like that. I couldn't find 1 salon that knew how to do a shag within 20 miles id me, so I grew impatient and chopped all my hair off. Now it at my neck again. My hair was that long and man, how I wanted that shag. This look is absolutely beautiful.bwonder how many layers this is.

Right ! They always say “ Well you can’t have long hair and short layers .” . Yes you can dammit ! Look at this ! I don’t get it . Guess most hairdressers follow the “ rules “ too much! That’s why ima figure this out on a mannequin and then take the plunge on my own hair . I wish us all luck !

@@littlebeebs1 I suggest you to get another hairstylist, right away. Whoever said that is fresh out of school and lied to you. Key to this cut is overdirection and blending at the end, lots of it.. like this dude just showed on the vid. If you dont texturerize it, like bigtime.. its not gonna look right, lived in - and thats the essence of a shag. Good luck!

Go to an old lady's shop. This was very similar to the shag. I had one halfway down my back. They'll know how and they're usually cheaper also. Win/win.😊

I've used this tutorial now for the last two cuts I've given myself, and it's amazing. The first time, I used it with a middle part. Most recently, I used it on a side part. Both were great! Thank you so much for the content! I especially enjoyed using a razor for mine. One question: This second time, the longest layer in the back feels a touch to disconnected froth rest. Should I just take an inch or two off the longest layer, or would vertical slices in the back, biting out little teeth with the razor help? Thanks!
