When i worked at a weeding venue we cut them in half, flipped it over the way you did but we skinned it first before cutting it the way you did. Same with cantaloupe but you scoop the seeds out first then skin and cut ☺️

Ohh I never thought about doing this, even though I've seen watermelon cut like this in recipes where there's other ingredients involved. It's so normalised to cut a watermelon into triangles, but yeah it's always messy to eat the triangles. This is an easier cutting method, and the slices that come out allow for non-messy eating

I am iranian and i don't think any country eats more watermelon than iran So i have tips for beginners: You need to let watermelon in the fridge first and not first cuting the watermelon It will make the fruit soggy and tasteless And the second thing Best part of watermelon is the center And it will be sweet anyway 😂
