Today I'm going to show you a very easy way to cut an a line bob on your hair. In my opinion, this is a very simple way to achieve bob haircut.

syakilasmile haha in honesty i tied my hair back and sat infront of the mirror debating it for nearly an hour and then took a deep breath shouted a few swear words n just hacked into my hair hahah. I dont regret it. Everyone says it suits me and its so much easier to look after as my hairs sooo thick it would take forever to do anything with it. If you think it would suit you. ..go for it!! X

Did it . The basic ponytail not the exta steps.Did shave the ends with electric razor while still in the ponytail. Came out really well happy with it. Received a few compliments as well.

Just did this cut. I had long hair so I asked my hubby for help. He made me first sign a "don't hold me responsible" contract just incase (I'm not kidding)! He cut it with his razor and I love it! Perfect cut since it's getting hot here in North Carolina. This is a great tutorial! 👍🏻

OMG!! How did you ever learn to cut your own hair like that! I am a guy and I cut my own hair, but I just use a guard on the sides and shears to texturize the top...I can't imagine doing a longer cut like this on myself...totally awesome!!

I tried this and it worked like a charm. I'm so pleased as I am growing out my hair but the sides are taking longer than the back so I like to keep a shape by trimming the back to gradually blend in with my sides. So I just applied the bobble cut to the back and then barely dusted the sides just to align. Honestly I think I'm going to save money on haircuts! Thanks so much for putting up this very easy to follow tutorial

I did it - just the simple pony tail part and not the layering and a-frame (way too advanced for me!). I was really happy with how it turned out! My hair was super long - I hadn't gone to the hair dresser for a couple of years, and now it's brushing my shoulders and looks short and classy. And it was kind of exhilarating too! Recommend :)

I parted in middle, then put elastics in 4 sections (2 front and back). Was good beginner practice and looked great just to get rid of split ends and I didn't care if it was all one length. Got a lot of compliments. Now I'm about to give myself a bob. Lawd help me...

Just did this. It works! I didn't do super short in the back so its just slightly higher in the back than the front but it's exactly what I wanted. My hubby (who has no hair cutting experience) chopped the ponytail and evened it out. Saved me $$$$$!!! Thank you!

I hacked my pony tail off but I couldn't get the hairdressing crappy Chinese scirrors through it, so I found v quickly a pair of vety sharp 4 inch long really good scissors, in ten pulls above the elastic band at about 4 inches below my nape neckline I now have one amazingly brilliant totally better than this boring one length symetrical a dhaped inverted cap bob. I have created by shear accident and really positive pull cutting, a double length a symetrical with layers, extreme wedge really top of the hairdressers one fantastically superb hair style with just one cut that I dragged kicking and screaming into the world. I had lots of black box dyed crappy long hair. I'm 55 and used to be a model so am wrinkled but no old cat eitch now. Trouble is, everyone who has seen it after washing it finfing a couple of bits and hacking them. This is the best haircut I have ever seen on anyone. Hey With layers so amazing. I now have to drag hair out of ppls heads now. At least I get paid for it. The ladies love it and the swearing too. ❤😂 I will have to stick a pic or 10 up. I did it last year in August. Will do it again today😊 Quick note - use a mirror in the Front and in the back and make sure to make the ponytale, the separating and the cuts as evenly as possible. Then it will come out nice.

You can get a hairstyle like this, with only one cut actually, only by making a higher pony tail. You can soften edges afterwards if you want to. It's much easier this way and it comes out a more even a line cut.

No Emrats, try to find a video on here - blunt cut bob - or something like that. I would suggest "Sam Villa"and although he shows/teaches you on other's hair, you can adapt his methods easily enough, to cut your own. By using the ponytail method you are effectively creating 'over direction' which will always give you angles - Hope that makes some sense to you :)

You can also make the lines softer by point cutting into the ponytail instead of just blunt cutting it. It looks much better that way and it is easy.

And you are super brave to cut such length hair. My hair is right below my collarbone and I'm having a difficult time cutting it.
