I'm begging Smosh: please don't be discouraged by low views and keep producing this show. It's the best thing you've done in years. Of all the Smosh channels and videos, I look forward to this show the most. It's a great mix of unscripted and also allowing the cast prep time for some funny and creative ideas. It is, in my opinion, an even better version of Hacking Off. I'm also just so happy that Ian is hosting a show on the main channel and I hope he continues being a bigger part of it, even though I'm sure he has a lot of additional responsibilities. I grew up watching Smosh and love the new cast and what it is today, but Ian (and Anthony) have always been the main draw of the channel for me. Combine him with the rotation of amazing members and it's a guaranteed great time--every time.

It might also have to do with saturation. The more channels, the less time and attention people have. Each person only has a certain amount of time for YT viewing. The more channels they watch, the less time each channel is being viewed. There are way more channels now.

14:20 there are actually 4 ways to cut an onion, depending on how fine a cut you need. The names are: sliced, chopped, diced, and minced. What Angela was doing earlier in the video is generally known as "mangling" the onion

Actual *true tips* to not cry while cutting onions: 1. Use a very sharp knife in cutting onions 2. Wet both your knife and chopping board 3. Cut the onions in half then soaked them first in a bowl of water for a minute or two before cutting them into whatever way you like. 4. Avoid blinking too much and avoid touching your face during and after cutting the onions.

Sharp knife, speed, not old, and slightly chilled onion. This is the culinary school and restaurant kitchen way. But those last two aren't the easiest to control. A sharp knife helps with speed. So just practice chopping and you'll get faster at cutting onions.

Fun fact, if you put a damp paper towel partially under the corner of your cutting board it helps you not tear up. Something about the chemical in the onion looking for the nearest source of water. That is usually your eyes, but the paper towel acts as a different source for it to go to.

A quick tip for anyone who agrees w Angela about onions: use Challots. They’re a smaller, milder onion. I buy a pack of 3 and use all of them at the same time where I’ll use half an onion for the same recipe. The taste is very similar but without having the extra steps.
