My company just overhauled our office and where the carpets meet (like in this video) it started to split, how do you fix that with this kind of industrial carpet? The only thing i can figure is cut out the seem bigger than the stretch (ours measures about 1/4" or 6.35MM and add new strip in :/

Where I come from we call that a total hack job. You should be row cutting that cheap cpt, you have bare spots on the floor from gluing the floor and seam sealer doesn't work on sealing the seam when it is placed right on the edge of the seams. You can't run your sealer a half inch away from the seam edges and expect it to perform properly!

Carpet Expert Blueprint yessir i did carpet for a few years with a real anal guy and alot of his ways were overkill im doing my offices now and really didnt want to seam the doirway but working by myself so might just to make it easier on my back,,glue down is very forgiving in my eyes i guess he didnt realize your cut was straight and wanted to comment like you were one of his workers🤣
