Yes you can but your hip point and crotch point will change Add 1 inch each to those point Or you leave 1 inch on the top of the fabric before you start marking the points Because of the joining to the bodice so it’s doesn’t affect your points on the pants

To know your crotch point Place the tape from your front waist to between your legs to your back waist What ever number you get divide by 2 Thats your crotch point
